Bohemianism

Bohemianism is a lifestyle dedicated to artistic expression, creativity, and the rejection of social conventions. Emerging from 19th-century France, this ethos was embraced by artists and writers who prioritised a life of freedom over material wealth. This spirit was famously embodied by figures from the artists of Belle Époque Paris to the writers of the Beat Generation.

The influence of bohemianism is most visibly seen in "boho" style, which favours flowing, natural clothing and eclectic, personalised homes filled with texture, art, and a mix of vintage and handmade objects.
